So many opportunities have arised since I came back from Mexico. I was re-invited there already for next January!

In March, I will not only have the opportunity to meet with Chef Chris Huerta from the Relais-Chateaux “Old Edwards Inn” in Highland, NC, but I will get to experience the food as well!

Chris is the Executive Chef of the the AAA Four-Diamond  Madison’s restaurant. The restaurant is known for some of the best locally-sourced dining in Western North Carolina.  I look forward to hear how Chef Huerta, and his talented team are using the sustainable ingredients from the Inn’s own gardens.

March is also the month where will get to experience Paint night in Durham. I will get to go and learn how to paint and enjoy food and drinks on the same time.

I also was invited to this really cool and interesting 5 course dinner pairing beer from Haw River Farmhouse Ales and food prepared by Chef Isaiah Allen at The Eddy Pub in Saxapahaw.

Wonderful news today came in….July Chef of the month will be Ian Boden from “The Shack” in VA. Ian Boden was nominated for the “Best Mid Atlantic Chef” award by the James Beard Foundation! Can’t wait to meet him! Photo credit Sera Petras.
